Exciting News: April's Debut Children's Book, "How to Sing Like a Gibbon" Is Now Available!
We are thrilled to share a special announcement with our travel blog community. Today marks the launch of April's new children's book, "How to Sing Like a Gibbon".
As some of you might know, aside from travel and writing, April's real passion in life is wildlife conservation. For years, she has specialised in primates, focusing on Orangutans and the ongoing struggles of deforestation in Borneo threatening their habitat and population. However, a couple of years ago, she had the opportunity to volunteer at a Gibbon rehabilitation centre in Thailand and found a new affinity for the lesser apes, Gibbons.
She loved their cheeky characters, abundant energy, and magnificent and indistinguishable calls. This experience inspired her to educate more people about these beautiful animals and ultimately led to the writing of the book "How to Sing Like a Gibbon."
"How to Sing Like a Gibbon" tells the captivating tale of a young gibbon who faces the challenges of losing his parents due to deforestation. Throughout his journey, he meets new friends who teach him to sing and call out for his parents. With their support and guidance, he learns how to sing and reunites with his family.
The book is not only a touching story of perseverance and friendship but also serves as an educational tool, shedding light on the importance of wildlife conservation and the impact of deforestation.
This is April's first children's book; I am incredibly proud of her achievement and cannot wait for you all to read it.
